Music: Allmos – Sound Affects, Vol 1

As 1/2 of The Stuyvesants, Allan Cole comes through with an inspiring new album titled Sound Affects, Vol 1 as Allmos. This album is dominated by Allan’s exquisite drumming, gorgeous keys, lively synth leads and samples as well. The basslines on this album are what really drive the groove and the overall feeling of this album, especially on a song such as ‘$’s to Donuts,’ ‘So Remarkable’ or ‘Sometimes, Why?’ If you’re looking for live drumming, silky smooth and groovy basslines, gorgeous keys and percussion, Allmos has you 100% covered with this new project. If you’re a fan of J Dilla and Karriem Riggins, buy this!

If only it were longer, though… But there is a Vol 2 (and hopefully Vol 3) coming out soon, so stay tuned for that!

Listen to Sound Affects, Vol 1 by Allmos released on my favourite label, Fresh Selects, who have done nothing but release quality album after quality album. It’s getting ridiculous at this point Kenny, but please keep it up!
