in search of media is growing! we have exciting new developments ahead, including the following:

  • creating video-led, documentary-style content, filming and documenting the music scene not only within London and the uk, but on a global scale
  • bringing the london-based community together with curated music and film-led events, including gigs for artists to perform their music and art
  • doing radio more consistently again, with exclusive shows and dj mixes from some of the most exciting independent artists making music today
  • exclusive, in-depth articles on music-related topics, as well as longer-form featured artist / label pieces that shine a bright light on the community of talented independent artists making dope shit
  • a pr service for labels and artists
  • potentially launching a record label.

these ideas will require planning and focused work, and with the scale of the task ahead, some additional finances. launching a patreon will allow you to contribute directly to the growth of the project, both monetarily and as a way to motivate me to turn these ideas into reality, and champion the music, art, and community that we all love and cherish.

this may sound like a lot, and i’m aware that i tend to think bigger-picture with my ideas, but i will be taking small, gradual steps to reach these goals. the website will continue existing in its current form, with regular album reviews posted weekly. i am launching an initial £5 / month subscription fee that will get you the following:

  • early-bird access to five new ‘from the crates’ articles where i cover old classics from my growing record collection
  • early-bird access to two featured, in-depth articles on the music scene in particular parts of the world
  • exclusive interview piece a month
  • 50% off merch and any ticket prices for events in the future
  • a new in search of media discord channel where we share our love for music, new and old. it will be a virtual community space. depending on how many london-based subscribers there are, this will turn into an in-person community get-together.

i genuinely appreciate all of you wonderful people who have supported me over the years, and while i’ve been doing this shit for a while, i feel like i’m just getting started.

peaceeeee xx
