new seasons bring new energies. in my case, it’s brought a breeze of new inspiration and optimism, after another difficult year of unemployment and feeling rather disillusioned with my life and the state of the world around us. it is also a season of change. started a new job a few weeks ago, went abroad for the first time this year, dj’ed for the first time in almost a decade. i want to send some love to wuji (led by shak), chalant and (led by elle shimada) for co-hosting one of the most wholesome events this year. i dj’ed some funky, soulful house tunes. there were canvases for drawing, board games, an incredible live performance from elle herself, and an exceptionally fun and cathartic live jam, as well as some of the most talented dj’s in this city. i was amongst friends i love to bits, and a community of beautiful, creative people who brought so much vibrant and liberating energy. to those based in london, i recommend you join our wider community via their whatsapp group.

this has only made me want to create more, and while i know that i sometimes lack consistency with writing and documenting things, i feel a seismic shift coming. unemployment is tough. i feel chaotic and messy. days flow into one another without any real structure, motivation has been at an all time low, depressive thoughts have at times taken over. shit ain’t fun. but here we are, september 2026, and i feel genuinely revitalised, and i hope and pray this continues. i’ve been making more music recently. i have a few new projects on the horizon, new mixes coming, possibly new dj sets, who knows? i’m just happy to be and feel alive again.
