Talented producer Willy Sunshine comes through with a brand new 5 track EP titled Bleu Klein. It’s a sort of tribute to famous artist Yves Klein, as he brings colourful and eclectic production to this hard-hitting and pretty captivating project.
“Shame / Love” kicks the album off with a thumping, bass-heavy boom-bap beat and synths that add texture to the track. The sample throughout is high pitched and rings through the track in an off kilter way. The keys throughout complement the sample beautifully. It’s a fantastic way to open a project. “La jungle” features Marcel Polaire, who’s verse flows beautifully throughout the dynamic beat. The heaviness of the bass on “Double Clap” is fantastic and the claps throughout slap heavily. ” HoldnBack” is another dynamic, hard-hitting track, while the moodiness and ethereal tone of “Bleu Klein” is just fantastic throughout. Overall, Bleu Klein is a project that sounds vibrant, eclectic and highly engaging. Willy Sunshine is really one talented producer, and I’m really excited to hear what he has coming next.
