Music: Crumb – Jinx

Crumb are a Brooklyn-based indie rock band composing of Lila Ramani (guitar, vocals), Brian Aronow (synth, keys, sax), Jesse Brotter (bass), and Jonathan Gilad (drums). Jinx is their brand new, self-released album and it’s a beautiful, textured project that brings a lot of infectious, reflective sounds and lyrics.

The synth-led “Nina” features a meditative sound which is complemented by subtle drums and beautiful vocals. The gorgeous angelic vocals and melodies on “M.R.” are also stunning. The playful “Part III” is more upbeat and features playful guitar leads and vocals from Lila, as the basslines and drums, whilst the closer “Jinx” is an amazing track that features stunning guitar leads and a soothing melody that brings such a soothing end to the album. The beautiful textures of this album makes this an engaging and cohesive body of work that is a true joy to listen to.

Overall, Crumb have released a stellar album featuring psychedelic tones and rhythms as well as dreamy vocals to complement the vibe of the album. Listen to their new album Jinx below via Bandcamp and don’t forget to support!
