Music: Sipprell – I Could Be Loved EP

I discovered talented London-based singer and songwriter Sipprell earlier this month through an amazing open mic night performance. To my surprise, she is well known and respected within the music scene I cover here in London. With this EP being my first proper introduction to her music, I was very curious to hear her talents on a full record. It is safe to say, I Could Be Loved is an excellent body of work.

With her incredible guitar leads throughout the tape, most notably on tracks such as “Personal” and “Journey,” she is able to create a angelic, ethereal tone which is accompanied with subtle synths and keys that add to the depth of the production on this project. Tracks like “Better” build musically throughout, with a gorgeous string section elevating the track into this mesmerising melody that is so soulful and captivating, it makes it one of the most memorable moments on this project. Sipprell’s voice is soothing and sensual throughout, speaking on themes of love, self love and personal development.

I Could Be Loved EP is a beautiful, soulful project that captures Sipprell’s aura perfectly. You can listen to her new EP below through Soundcloud, and make sure you support because she deserves all the shine!
