The production god Swarvy is back with a new series of reworks titled No. 3 | Coral Blend. It follows the same type of approach and vibe as his Blends series where he took popular hip-hop tracks and reworked them with incredibly groovy and funky instrumentals that, in my honest opinion, are for the most part better than the originals.
On his latest release, he takes tracks from the likes of Young Thug, N.E.R.D, Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna and reworks/flips them masterfully. Highlights include “stoner,” “getmedoe,” “saucin,” “exchange” and a surprising remix of Madvillain’s “Raid,” which manages to hold its own in comparison to the original. It is an excellent release of flips that would completely kill in a chill dj environment. #
