Bristolian blue-haired talented artist Chikaya comes through with an incredible new project titled Descend EP. Chosen by Jamz Supernova as her favourite R&B EP so far this year, Chikaya really brought the soul on this project. Produced by her anonymous flatmate, the duo embark on a cosmic journey full of electronic synth leads, smooth ethereal textures and Chikaya’s soulful, meditative and warm vocal range.
Lyrically, she is contemplative, dealing with fears, thinking about dreams and how to attain them, as well as a meditative and peaceful message that perfectly complement the angelic textures and tone of the production on this album. Her look also complements her eccentric nature, with attractive blue braids that are a unique addition to her personality as an artist. With a fascination of pyramids, the secrets they hold and the stories they tell, she has always gravitated to the mystery of the unknown. This spiritual and intruiging vibe is carried through on her music beautifully.
