Sometimes I need to remind myself not to get carried away with stuff because for a second today I thought Richie Saps was releasing a full project. The talented producer and rapper has been on my radar since the “Red” single last year, a smooth, jazzy track which featured a confident verse from Richie. In it, he was talking about his experiences growing up, how has blossomed beyond the bullshit people give him learning to live his life on his own terms.

8 months later he is back with a new single titled “Waiting,” a moody and meditative track which is accompanied by themes of waiting for change and wanting to grow beyond people who want to drag him back. Something tells me it’s about one person in particular but the essence of the song is important, one I have tried to implement in my life and be more focused towards reaching goals and cutting negative people out of my life. The synths, percussion and beat on this track provide the perfect soundscape for Richie to rhyme over effortlessly, and I cannot wait for new music from him.
