Adam Roberts is a producer from Shrewsbury in the Midlands who goes by the name More // Night. The talented producer comes through with his debut album titled Double Slash, and is a mind-blowing piece of work which exceeded all my expectations upon first listen and puts him amongst one of my favourite producers right now.

This project is high in energy and contains some of the most electrifying electronic rhythms and grooves you’ll hear on an album this year. Tracks like “Render” with Geotheory and “Intergalactic” are crazy with their build-up and contain manic energy with swirling synths, a heavy, bass-driven trap beat that also includes eerie effects that just add to the character of the music. “RingRing” with Scrufizzer features a heavy bassline and an incredible verse and flow from the London grime MC. The way More // Night is able to sample certain vocal snippets throughout is really impressive, and the quality of production really is extraordinary. “L.F.O (Lotsa Funk Only)” is another highlight on the album, featuring more a more upbeat, funk-driven melody that is joyful and full of infectious energy. The album closes with “Ghost Note,” a heavy and quirky track to conclude this incredibly special project.
