Tokayo is brough together by the etheal spirit of Mndsgn and a collaboration with Virginia’s T. Hemingway. The self-titled Tokayo EP is filled with beautiful moments- smooth, almost spiritual sounds to complement poetry which highlights the group’s love for existential humor, universal truths and of course music. Produced entirely by Swarvy, the record fully captures a spiritual mood through the soulful, funky and atmospheric beats. Throughout the tape you will hear spacey synths, subtle guitar leads, soul samples, funky basslines and raps about positivity, self-growth and spirituality. Every track is a highlight, but I currently have “Intuition” and “Pity Party” on loop.
