drwn. has been a producer I have followed for a couple of years now, being instantly hooked to his ethereal production. His grow slow project, which came out earlier this year, is definitely worth a listen.
On his new project, XV-XVII, the talented Swiss producer brings ambience, groove and vibes to your ears. Highlights such as ‘might be’ and ‘swim’ are layered with silky synths, smooth rhythms, watery beats (in the sense that the music feels pure. I imagine myself listening to this while floating in a lake on a warm, sunny summer evening). Other highlights include ‘drowning’ ft MF Eistee, which has a cheeky Fantastic Planet sample at the end, ‘the water is clear,’ ‘ginger lemon trees,’ and ‘leaves.’ The whole project is a stellar body of work, so don’t sleep on it and support it now!
Do check out drwn.’s Soundcloud page, which includes older released singles, as well as snippets for new projects to come!
XV-XVII is released on Berlin-based label Dezi-Belle. Stream the album below on Bandcamp, and make sure to support!
