A new release for the dancefloors! Detroit producer Waajeed brings the funk with his house-infused grooves on his new EP – Through the Wall. Being a founding member of the Platinum Pied Pipers and having contributed to the soulful remix of Amp Fiddler on Kenny Dixon’s Mahogany Music, Waajeed is a legend in Detroit. Having been around for decades now, he has released a few projects in the last couple of years, including Shango EP, which came out in July of this year. With support from the likes of The Black Madonna, Carl Craig, Jackmaster and Gilles Peterson, it is one of the highlights of the year.
Clearly influenced by the Detroit sound, Waajeed continues to go from strength to strength, creating a blend of soulful, hip-hop grooves to accompany the pulsating rhythms that should, without fail, be on the dancefloors all over clubs around the world. Anything less should be considered a crime.
