climax (2018)

if anything this has deterred me from drinking sangria. (3.5 ⭐ / 5)
it was just an accident (2025)

one of the eeriest yet poignant endings to a film i’ve seen, and had to rewatch the opening scene, which drew powerful parallets between him killing that dog and the people he tortured, and how his wife tried to justify it to their daughter as being just an accident. (4 ⭐ / 5)
urchin (2025)

the ending felt a bit empty and underwhelming. otherwise, it was a beautifully shit film, with an incredible frank dillane performance. a commendable debut harris dickinson film, really curious to see what he does next. (3 ⭐ / 5)
ghost in the shell (1995)

stunning film with a beautiful soundtrack. it was a bit difficult to follow at times but definitely deserves repeat watching (4 ⭐ / 5)
sorry, baby (2025)

touching, gentle and deeply human. beautiful debut film. eva, i’m a big fan (4.5 ⭐ / 5)
kontinental ’25 (2025)

staying alive in post-communist, ultra-capitalist romania, aye… a dark, satirical and eye-opening account of life in eastern europe in the 21st century (4 ⭐ / 5)
alps (2011)

i’ve come to realise that yorgos’ characters in a lot of his films are just aliens trying to grapple with and relate to human life, unsuccessfully (3.5 ⭐ / 5)
i saw the tv glow (2024)

david lynch but make it gen z and about gender identity. reading some of the reviews from trans ppl on here makes me appreciate it so much more (4.5 ⭐ / 5)
