a few thoughts: new york artists anysia kym and tony seltzer have been killing it these last few years, with various solo and collaborative projects with the 10k roster and beyond. tony seltzer’s heavy drumming throughout this project is met with anysia kym’s gorgeous vocals and quirky electronic effects and compositions that are just stunning from start to finish. from the dynamic drumming on “speedrun” to the slow, r&b-esque vibe of “afterparty”, the balance of moody and soulful with the dynamic and eclectic makes it a catchy and ethereal listen. the heavy drumming on tracks like “relaxxxxx” are crazy, while the contrast of anysia’s vocals with the pummelling, driving beat of “long4” is an example of the dichotomy in styles and energies both artists are able to bring on the album. the colourful and ethereal “picture this” is also a highlight on the album, while the crashing drums on “big difference” with anysia’s gorgeous vocals is just aa crazy combo. the dynamic, eclectic production throughout the album is just a joy to listen to throughout, with both artists showing the extent of their talents as artists.
