a few thoughts: jonquera is a lyon-based producer who combines dark, eerie electronica with experimental, dark and prog rock-inspired melodies. tolouse low trax is düsseldorf-based producer who combines dub influences in a heavy, restless musical experience that is truly captivating. together, they’ve released a short but punchy ep titled series 33 part 1, where both artists produce two tracks apiece, to great results. jonquera’s “cause and utility almost sounds like a swans track, with its slow-paced drumming and rumbling basslines, as well as a spoken word piece that adds to the haunting energy of the track. the guitar leads and percussion on “tales of decay” are incredible too. on “amp”, tolouse low trax combines heavy dub grooves with jittery electronic grooves that are punchy and groovy, while the emphatic and acid basslines on “solid rock”, the vocal samples and crazy bounce make it a standout for me. i discovered this yesterday and instantly fell in love with their sound, so keep an ear out for these two talented producers in 2026.
