A few thoughts: Label and band 2000BLACK, led by legendary producer Dego, have been releasing legendary music for over 20 years now, and still finding ways to push new boundaries. On Circus Ride Retreat, the band continue pushing is their new short 3-track EP, a rhythmic, groovy project with hypnotic drumming, synth leads and vocal performances throughout. “Circus Ride Retreat” features vocals from Samii and is a stunning composition with light, colourful key arrangements and an incredible energy to it. The groove of “London Boogie 7” has a rumbling bass, with heavy synths and a broken beat that is just incredible. The jittery electronic synths on “Shrug” are frantic, with the smooth keys and bass groove that are entrancing from start to finish. Circus Ride Retreat is another fantastic EP by 2000BLACK, who just continue to release gems after gems.
