This is my first proper introduction to Mary Sue, whose lyricism throughout the 15-track project is sharp and concise, as he navigates us through his own observations, experiences and state of mind to bring vibrant and colourful verses. I’m slowly getting familiar with psychedelic ensemble.’s work and is slowly becoming one of my favourite London-based producers. His eclectic and experimental sound takes inspiration from a plethora of different genres to create music that is striking, memorable, and fascinating. From the harsh synth leads on “Things Move in Cycles (Here We Go Again!)” to the stunning piano-led “Dream Pop on Steroids (Interlude)” and closer “Dream Pop on Steroids”, the eclecticism in psychedelic ensemble.’s sound is something to champion and celebrate. Mary Sue flows and raps effortlessly throughout the eclectic, cacophonous soundscapes, full of heavy drums, distorted synth leads and other sound effects.
