Why you should listen: Berlin-based Philadelphia artist LSDXOXO has been making some of the most exciting electronic music for the past few years. Delusions of Grandeur (D​.​O​.​G​.​) EP is his new 7-tack project, and features some of his most exciting, catchy and immersive tracks yet. The EP opens with the high-paced, sexy “J’adore”. The drums and rhythms are infectious, with some explicit lyrics to animate the track even more. “Cream” is another high-paced techno track, with atmospheric and melodic synths throughout that create a spaced-out, ethereal feeling throughout. The vocals are pretty sexy too, not gonna lie. “Devil’s Chariot” may be my favourite track on the project. The melodic synth leads that create the atmospheric and rhythmic energy, along with the high paced drums, the chorus, the “everything you do is the truth” message, it’s all incredible. “Double Tap” is a bass-heavy track, almost overpowering in its energy and sound, with LSDXOXO’s sexy, sensual and horny lyrics coming through effortlessly. “In Blood” contains a guitar lead, intricate drumming, distorted synth melodies that hug the track, and an urgency from his delivery and dark lyricism. “Overload” is another infectious track, with heavy drums and synths, and immersive vocals. The synth melodies changing and with the beat grooving, it’s another standout on the album. “Freak No. 2” with Six Sex is an infectious closer to the album, with Six Sex’s verse being almost hypnotic along with LSDXOXO’s vocals and the thumping beat. An immersive, dance-heavy, groove-heavy EP showcasing LSDXOXO’s incredible talents as a performer, music and visual artist.
