Why you should listen: I discovered CAPRIISUN at his London headline show earlier this year, and was pretty blown away by his intricate, abstract writing. Callilope captures all his vivid storytelling in a project that is sonically cohesive, with production from the likes of Omar Bmar, Morriarchi, rvshty, and 3mile $inclair providing a soulful, rusty sound. CAPRIISUN flows and floats on the beats effortlessly, rapping about his own observations and experiences in a unique way, with incredible metaphors and punchlines that gives his tracks so much life as well as so much to digest and dig deeper into. A few of the standouts include “Glory”, “Biscotti” featuring CLBRKS, Alter Oracles featuring Koncept Jack$on, “Stolen Hybrid” and “Emerabld Abodes”. So basically, most of it! The whole album is exceptional, showcasing his talents on the mic, and with some soulful, raw production to go with it. Callilope is a great introduction to CAPRIISUN as an artist!
