Ireland-based producer Colm K comes through with a brand new EP titled KFU (RN). It’s the first time I’ve come across the talented musician, and its safe to say that his club-influenced sound is groovy and highly infectious.
Kicking the EP off with the Frank Ocean sampled “Lady,” the drums and the synths throughout this track make it a great opener. “Apart” has a silky smooth synth that is complemented by thumping drums and percussion throughout. “KFU(RN)” is a great cut, bringing broken beats, synths and percussion forward. The broken-beat and ethereal “Diffraction” brings this EP to a close with smooth synths and infectious grooves. Overall, Colm K comes through with a banging 4-track EP and I look forward to seeing him grow and progress from here.
