Music: christoph el’ truento – we in here...

New Zealand based musician comes through with a brand new release titled we in here... Composed of raw ideas and a sample-based collage of sounds, this is a refreshing release following some stellar projects in the past such as LWMP18 and Foraging.

Featuring more dance-heavy rhythms and an infectious grooves, this is a pretty stellar release, despite it not being mixed or mastered. “LOUNGIN'” brings keys, a bassline that is funky and a beat that brings a groovy, upbeat energy to the album. The whole album is inspired by house and electronic music as a whole, with tracks like “wut?” “mission” and “WERK” bringing heavy and upbeat rhythms. “new jack” is as the title suggests, a new jack swing inspired tune with funky beats and horns, as well as a thumping beat that’s infectious. “SOMETHING NEW IN MY LIFE” ends the album brilliantly with a soulful, key-heavy composition and a thumping beat that’s just brilliant. Overall, christoph el’ truento comes through with another stellar project that just shows how great and versatile of a producer he is.
