SHANGO RECORDS are a record label based in Greece, specialising in electronic world music. SHNGCD08 VARIOUS ARTISTS​-​4 YEARS OF BEAUTY is a new compilation album highlighting some of the most exciting new sounds from their label, a true musical experience. 16 tracks in length and featuring a plethora of different, unique artists and sounds, this compilation tape is definitely one to listen to.

From the tribal, heavy percussion and beat of Moontide’s “Mammatus” to the house inspired rhythms of SidiRum’s “Almagro,” this album has it all. Unique, electronic grooves and rhythms, some more beautiful and ethereal moments, as well as some hard-hitting ones. Jeronimo Karpouzakis’ sublime tribal and heavy groove of “Whispers Of Refugees” is an example of the harder,, more aggressive tones that this album brings, while Sangeet & Dibidabo’s brilliantly moody and meditative “Embracing My Darkness” brings hypnotic vocal tones to the tracks, also featuring a more uplifting, dance-heavy groove. Music from countries like Greece, Mexico, Argentina and Costa Rica all feature, among other countries. It’s special to see a label embrace sounds from all around the world and make it the centre of the musical identity.
