Ben Hixon is a multi instrumentalist, producer and engineer living in Dallas, Texas. He is also one of the main architects of Dolfin Records, one of the best record labels out right now (they recently released Jon Bap’s extraordinary new LP Yesterday’s Homily). This time around, it’s Ben Hixon who has come through with a new project full of soulful loops, vocal chops and samples and remixes to classic hip-hop records. Its 31 tracks include recordings between 2013 and 2017, and all of them sound fresh for a vibe-heavy DJ set, even the dancefloor on some occasions.
