AshTreJinkins is an incredibly talented producer from Los Angeles, California. I have been following this guy for a while – ever since a friend of mine introduced me to his music back in 2012. A unique beat maker with iconic drums and samples, AshTreJinkins has released a new project titled Primordial, which includes music he produced between 14-18 years old. I still can’t wrap my head around how someone of such a young age can create sounds like this.

‘Flute is active tho’ has an incredible flute sample, ‘Beach Towel Time’ has Dilla-esque vocal loops and drums, ‘Dusty Clouds’ is has Burial-esque ambience and  ‘Keep it Lost’ has heavy tribal rhythms. The diversity in sound of this 21 song compilation just shows you how ill AshTreJinkins is as an artist. He has his own trademark sound now, a true great of the underground beat-scene movement coming from LA.
